Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

I took the SS class, but haven't been able to shadow or work as SS because I'm tied to the trailer. Sorry.

Dr. McKinnel got his SSS license but moved away. You guys should have been nicer.

BTW, your RE is a SSS.

We are confirmed for BRC, Sunday in the two lots farthest from the entrance plus the upper side of the next section.

See you then. the Waiver personnel will have instructions for where to paddock.

In case I forget to tell the waiver personnel, paddock (park) on the upper road. The part marked on the photo as Birmingham Racing Course. We should have plenty of room for everyone. Please stay to one side so we don't block the road.

        Thanks

That's still a ton of room. Plenty to make a nice course in. I have an idea for an alternative site and I will begin working on it tomorrow.

                        Thanks Everyone!

I want to take a moment to thank everyone that came out to help with the event setup. This stuff is so easy when a few good folks volunteer to get things going. We had a few glitches with trailer placement and grid and paddock but this is a learning experience with our new arrangement with the Birmingham Race Course. We learned some things that will be implemented at the next event to make things smoother for both paddocking as well as the course.(Man, that parking lot is bumpy in places!) Overall, I think the event went well (i.e. the safety stewards didn't have to fill out any paperwork) everyone got six runs with a lunch break and still home by 4:30. If you have any suggestions to improve the event post up! Your ideas might be the one we need.

Thanks to everyone who help make this event happen:
                        Event Chair / Jamie Holladay
                        Worker Chief / Vincent Coker
Novice Chief / C and Sara
                        Tech Chief / Mike Cholewa
T&S / Matt and Katie, Jordan Townes
                        Waivers Mike Wenning,David Branch
Equipment set-up / Michael Cholewa, Eric Brakhage. Sean Yoder in the BAT mobile
                        Battery/Gas go getter Alan Branch
Course set-up 1 / Eric Edwards, Darryl Engle
SSS / Mike Cavanaugh, Ricky Ragan
                        Devotional / Eric Edwards

I hate to be that guy, but does anyone have results, I missed the trophy presentation. Alan B and I went to change tires on my car (thanks Alan) and when we were done the truck and trailer were gone! I know Mark McWilliams got me by a tic in CSP, I just want to see if it was a tenth or a few hundredths! I'm a glutton for that sort of punishment.

Awesome job by the Novices too!

I'll see you all BRC at Event #8 9/20/09 or at Atlanta Motor Speedway, register here (http://www.soloatlanta.com/forum/vie...php?f=2&t=2198) next weekend or at Barber's on Labor Day

                        Thanks everyone!
