  • POLL: Possible date change for Event #1

Fellow mud-covered fun-havers, we have run into a scheduling issue with the first RallyCross event for the AL region. Basically, we have a situation where an Autocross event was rescheduled and the only available day was 5/24. This is the date for our first RallyCross.

I'd like some input from the regulars here on the direction to take for our event. The Autocross group is working with a much tighter schedule at Oak Mountain than we are with Beaver Creek, so we have some freedom to reschedule dates.

Please vote in the poll on whether we should leave the 5/24 date, or bump up the event a day to 5/23 so our multi-discipline attendees do not have to choose between events. Thanks!

You can have a mini-ironman event for the weekend.

I will make it either day and Drew P said he can make it Saturday as well (if he doesn't bail).

I hope you both can make it. Haven't seen Drew in years.

Saturday vs. Sunday doesn't change it much for me. I agree that avoiding date conflict with autocross is a good thing.

This will be my first rallyx event but looking forward to getting the BRZ muddy. Is registration on-site and also what is the registration cost? Thanks in advance, Blake.

For your first event the rate is $25. From there on it is $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Registration is on site. It will be open till around 9:30.

Do spectators get in free? I was thinking of bringing the kids out.

Beaver Creek Off Road has an entrance fee if you're not an SCCA member. If you have an SCCA family membership they would all get in free. If not, it's $10 for adults and kids 10 and under are free (per their website)

Since it's a private park that's still open while we're there, we can't get around the gate fee for spectators that aren't SCCA members. Those fees go straight to BCORP.

I hope you can make it out!

No worries there, everyone is a SCCA member. So on that good news I'll plan on bringing the kids out to spectate.
