Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • tire question for the rallycross peeps

Changing my tires after this weekend, noticed some wear on the front tires. When i first mounted them i marked the position and be putting them in the same spot. As of now i have 4 events on them, when should i rotate the tire positions? Pic shows the left side rear and front.

If you want balanced wear, I would. The front is definitely seeing more wear.

Damon on the Escort(FWD) I never rotate the tires. When i went to the NC I rotated so I basically had a new set on the front, when I got home I rotated them back. I will repeat that this year. My rear tires have shown more or less zero wear..... And I am too cheap to buy new fronts just for thr NC! The wear is dramatic looking at first (Winterforce) but soon slows down.

I would rotate those if that's from one event. What tires are those?

I haven't seen that much wear on my tires since I started rallyx... maybe I should drive harder? I probably have 15-20 events on them. But mine don't look as aggressive, more like all seasons. They are Yoko Guardex 600s that I couldn't even give away before rallyx.

Maybe I need new tires if I want to stay on top in SA?

Lol, yeah i do have a kinda "go for broke" driving style. Dillon pointed thatout to me this past weekend.

Wes, those tires are called Sunny SN3680. I got them from tires-easy.com and were the only winter tire in a 165/70-13. The size was the only reason i got them, it was just a bonus the tread patten lookes like a hankook.

Thanks for the input guys, im gunna start swaping them every event to even out the wear. They not really worn per say, just chewed up a bit at the edges.
