  • Shift Knob/Lever and SF

The threads on the shift lever are stripped and I can't install a new shift knob. While I have things broken down I would like to make the shift lever a bit longer.

Would it be legal in SF to make the lever a little longer to make it more comfortable for me to shift? What if I replaced the shift knob (after the repair) with a longer knob that in effect made the shifter longer?

You can change the shift knob no problem as it is specifically called out. Legally you cannot cut down the shifter or weld on an extension. But you can change the shift knob. ;I didn't see any size restrictions.

Well I have some ideas then for a custom made shift knob. I just didn't want to be the UTV tire of SF
