Those floor pans are almost like new! When I ran my old BMW 2002 (nick named "Rusty") @ Huntsville you would have to take a whores bath before you could drive home, there was more red dust inside than there was outside!Let me put it like this, it had a hole in the back floor pan that you could drop a bolling ball threw. The carpet didn't filter out the dust as well as you would have tought!

"structural rust" that's not structural, it's just part of the body.

I have holes like that in the volvo, it passes tech.

Floor pans in ACVW aren't really too structural except where the seats and pedals attach. Put some carpet on it. lol I may be buying a used FWD VW because the wife is griping about the mounting costs of my Ghia build.

Yeah, the seat rails mount to the sides, not the floor. Still unnerving ...
