Glad to see you home Damon.....

I want to thank everyone that took part in making ALSCCA 1st National Challenge happen. Also the 1st Southern Rallycross Championship. It was a beautiful 2 day event from the weather to the racing, I had blast. Besides the on-track thrills & spills & so many mechanical dwindling the 17 driver event down to 15 drivers by the end of day 1. Day 2 bought a new course and some fast times. It looks like the M2 & M4 hardware went to TVR. ALSCCA keeps claim to the SF & PF hardware, with Florida taking the SA hardware. Again I want to thank EVERYONE that helped, worked & especially raced. Special thanks to ALSCCA,TVR,TNSCCA, ATL crew(John,Wes,Mike),Damon(NOLA) & Carlos Felipe(Florida).

official times should be up shortly on AXWARE.

Nice shots! The elevation made for some cool angles on the cars - being able to actually look down on the cars made it much more interesting.

Some of the stills from Day 2 can be found here ... http://s719.photobucket.com/albums/w...nal%20Rally-X/. Just a quick selection.

I shot a lot of HD video over the weekend. I will be editing that in to a finished video sometime later. I may share a few of the raw clips in the mean time, but they are pretty short and not very interesting by themselves. I also have shots from my Flip that was passed around the second run group on Day 1.

To those that didn’t show up you guys missed out! It was a great event indeed! The courses on day one were challenging and fun. But unfortunately they took there toll on the cars. For the first time in over 7 years of racing I was unable to finish my runs, can’t complain there. The Pearl suffered a minor injury that will be quickly fixed when we get the parts. I wish the others that went out luck on repairing their cars. Sundays course looked super fun, wish we could have given it a go.

Thank you Edwin and Ron for putting in the hours that made this a great event, everything went smoothly and I know everyone had fun. Thank you Matt and Katie for coming out and running timing for us even though you didn’t participate, that was awesome of you guys. Thank you all out of town racers for coming and trying out our site and participating in our first national level event. I know it is going to just get better every year. To hear Carlos from FL say that it was well worth the drive makes it all worth it.

We enjoyed it! Katie really enjoyed just being outside and how it was much more relaxed than Auto-X. She just wished she could have driven a lap or 2. She needs a co-drive with someone who has an adjustable seat!

Ryan, added a pic of #77 on course. Must not have saved it initially ... got some nice video of you on Day 2.

Thanks to Edwin, Ron, and everyone involved in making this event happen. It was great to be back out in the old Integra! The courses were great, 15 runs, and the weather was perfect. You couldn't ask for anything more. Looking forward to those videos!
