ATL RX Program

We are working some details with Brian, Jay, Randall R. and Mere.
We are planning to post here and send a bulletin next week with more details.

So far, the RallyX program will host 3-4 private-TNT (Pre-season) events and an ARSCCA TNT previous to the actual championship. This way we all have enough TNT and learning time before the runs really count.

We are aiming for early to mid March to have the DEDICATED venue ready and host first private events to get car/drivers ready.

So, please send me an e-mail to Email if you are interested in be a participant on RallyX 2011. This way we will have a better count of how many cars we can expect. I already have few local and from other regions that e-mail us.

10 miles west of Villa Rica GA.

I believe that is off I-20 west exit 9 IIRC.

Yeah but the plan was to also have SCCA RallyCross as well, Either was it's cool that GA is trying to get a program goin!

That thread on Dirty Impreza was about a different venue further south in GA. I posted it.

In case you were wondering, we do still plan to put something together. We just had some issues with the original plot of land we wanted to use as it's considered flood plain by the state and therefore difficult to build on (considered a water source and owned by the state).

We've looked at some other plots in the same area but haven't made much progress on verifying that a SSS course will actually fit in any of the areas.

I'd be down with going if someone gave me a codrive, I don't trust the volvo to make it somewhere far away, and come back.

I believe by private, they mean locals. Like us. I think they want to test the waters before announcing it big time.

I'm crashing it too! I asked to be put on the email list to follow along with what they are doing. Hope they can have a few events this year. Man it's going to be another busy yet fun year!!!!

Is this meant to be a super-region site or would this just be Atlanta's rallycross venue? Trying to figure out if this is meant to take the place of the Shag Bark venue or if it is just something separate. Either way, sounds awesome.

Great news on the location. I was afraid it would be an hour east of ATL, or something like that.

I beleive Edwin is right on the "private" part.....they want to conduct a couple of small-scale events before opening to the masses.

If 6-10% of the autocrossers decide to autocross, that's a fairly big number from a program as big as ATL's.
