What's all this talk of a cage for Solo and RallyCross? Is there a rules change, or are you just being careful?

Glad to see you coming out and trying Rallycross. I promise you it will be blast. Our location is great & our courses are challenging as much as exciting. You'll be hooked! Also, I've been waiting on someone to bring out a MX6. I've always thought those cars would be great on the dirt. Mazda makes great dirt-friendly cars(Rx7or8,Miata,323,MX3), plus their on the contingency program, You get paid dawg!Originally posted by AutoX Civic View PostI bought the carfrom someone and he bought a rollcage for it, so im just getting it installed.
Thats cool it came with a roll cage. Do not wait to rallycross it before you install the cage because you'll be kicking yourself in the ASS! A cage is great for safety & making it ready for other types of racing, but not worth waiting for to rallycross. I have 2-codrives in my car, but if anyone cancels your more than welcome to codrive my car.
Does the MX6 run & drive? Is it a trailer car? Would you want to bring it to my shop & let me pre-tech before the event. No charge. It would really be my pleasure to do so. I'll be out this next both weekends doing SCCA stuff, but anyday during the week is good. After hours if fine as well.
That stands for all. If anyone wants to pre-tech their rallycross car call me @ 205-244-1100......Edwin.

I have to tie the steering collum in with the cage, it can be both trailer and drive-able. the car runs great, but it needs a seat. It would be tough to rallycross a car without a seat. lolOriginally posted by edtype1 View PostCool. Glad to see you coming out and trying Rallycross. I promise you it will be blast. Trailers can be found on CL and racingjunk.com. If you put up a WTB thread here, teamtac, and TNSCCA you might find something as well. You might want to read likes/dislikes thread that I started awhile back.Charles

My theme for the year is to say "I plan to be there"...and then have something happen that keeps me from showing.
Clutch is wasted. I've got one on the way and will do all possible to install and be ready for SUN.
I'm already 0 for 2 on the season.....if i miss this one I may as well just quit.
(No...not really.)
But I don't like missing events...especially what I consider to be "local"
Hey JR !! - I just bought my brothers AL trailer....so my steel one, with storage box and winch will be up for sale soon.Tim

Yes its ok to come out to take photos. We ask that you have a spotter with you. So if you have someone that can come out with you that would be best. There might be someone free @ the event that could spot you, but it would be best to bring someone. No charge for spectators or photographers.
