I mentioned this to chris, that we should run a course one day with a section being the part from the gate to the field, so we can make it into a road instead of trying to follow downed grass..

Awesome event, volvo was wicked sweet. Now I just need to figure out why the hell it gets too hot on the highway, and stays cool in stop and go..

How about the variety of entries, a Hummer that is easily twice a big as any thing else but still doing a great job, a Tacoma that was running respectable times, a big Ole Ford
sled, similar to the one at the first ever B'ham RX when Robert Rumson ran his Vic. How about the "Blu Brick" out and running good, Chris Warren running "the Ninja" to some incredible times. The "Black Pearl" in full regalia looked great with it Jolly Roger flying. All in all a great time, remember it's never to late to have fun in the dirt.

Did you ever get a new radiator? Hot while driving is a flow problem and is usually attributed to a restricted radiator. My next (much less probable) guess would be a slipping water pump.

I would just like to point out that under auto-x scoring I beat C on the second course. I'm going to have to get used to trying to be consistent each run instead of trying to lay down a fast run

I did get the new radiator. My next guess was either getting a lower temp thermostat, or that the heatsoak from the intercooler is causing the radiator to not cool as effectively (the IC and radiator are sandwiched intercooler in front of radiator).

I guess after the new hoses and radiator, the thermostat and waterpump are the last two logical choices.

Cholewa, take a look at the air guides leading to the radiator and make sure everything seals up pretty well.

Air is lazy so if it doesn't have to go through a heat exchanger it won't.
