  • Brake Question

I'm pretty much considering this year over due to work. So I'm planning a car build for next season with a Ghia donor car I have left from working on my another Ghia. Are cutting brakes legal in Mod or Prepped? I know the rules say "any braking system" but does this include a modified braking system like cutting brakes?

Hope I can race with y'all next season (fingers crossed)

It would be legal only in mod.

Edwin, cutting brakes are usually set up for off road cars. Install the brake lever and brake proportioning valves. You pull the lever left or right and it brakes that front tire. I'm thinking that it would be pretty effective on pivot cones and some other turns for RWD cars.

Its like the old school hand brakes for each rear wheel. Kind of silly if you ask me, but WHATEVER.

Legal, yes...but is it really applicable (beneficial) for rallycross?

You want to see a RWD car ROTATE....just let me drive it.
