Heres all the need to know info for Louisiana's first scca rallycross!

What: Delta Region SCCA Rallycross #1

Where: NOLA Motorsport Park, 11075 Nicolle Boulevard Avondale, LA 70094

When: Sunday, January 30th, 2011

Times:
-8:00am-9:00am: Registration and Tech

-9:15am-9:30am: Driver's Meeting

-10:00am: First Car Out

Hope to see some of the alabama and Tennesse region peeps down here for the event, ya'll have helped alot in making this happen for my region!

Sidenote: Delta is also putting on a drift event the staurday before. Ya'll are welcomed to come and watch or compete!

By the end of JAN I'll be "jones'n" for some dirt action, for sure.

hmmmmm this could be a tough one for me. i work in accounting so there is no way i can take off that following monday because it's the end of the month, closeout time. i'll have to talk C into us driving 7hrs back that afternoon after the race. all for the love of the sport!!!!!

if it lasted till 5 that would probably be dark that time of the year , that seems like a long day, unless their excpecting a big turnout. i would "hopefully" think we would be on our way home buy 3ish ? that would make us get home anywhere from 9:30 to 11:00 depending on where you live!

from what i gather, I think, maybe 30-35 entries! FB is up to 36 with 30 maybes and i can expect maybe half of that!

My original plan was to maybe have 4 timed runs with 1 practice runs per heat, that would be 10 total not including reckies which may only be one. I would like to wrap things up by 3pm so ya'll can get on the road sooner, if i have to cut runs to achevie that then so be it but I also dont want to short change the people coming out of town for the event.

My idea is to run timing with stop watches and log the times on paper and use a laptop with an excel spreedsheet to insert the times manually and have them add up the times runs at the end of the heat, then maybe hook the laptime to a printer so the heat results can be posted! thats an idea i had that may or may not work depending on time but its just a idea i had!

Course set up I will shoot to be the day before, save some time in the morning maybe so when i get out there its just paperwork i have to setup and stuff!

This is all stuff i just thought of off the top of my head!

We are thinking about it too, about a 6hr drive for us but it's doable.
