dangerous?.. if the safety steward thought that it was, you could just use a sweep car , or as TVR sometimes does, leave it to honesty... you think you hit a cone you go back and reset it at lower speed .........sounds fun let's do it!

oh! as far as not being able to see the cones as well (driver) you go a little slower "it's still the same for everybody" fun!

It wouldn't be any more dangerous than a day event. If I have less visibility I tend to not push as hard. So, it really would be a question of seeing the cones & knowing the flow of the course......

My idea would be to use glow sticks and attach a few to the cones....
Glow stick when bought in bundles are pretty cheap. Plus we can set-up a smaller course & have two run throughs or so....

Also, Sean is cutting the field. Its the hay season for them, so our next event should be nice without all the tall grass & swarms of grasshoppers. Plus, I'm sure in late October it will be much cooler & grass shouldn't be overgrown either...I say we can come up with something really fun for that event....

I will continue to suggest doing rx in the fall/winter since there won't be grass around, and it will give everybody something to do in the off season.

For sure Cholewa, I'm working on next years schedule & we will be taking June,July,Aug & maybe Sept off next year. We will be starting the season as early as Jan 8th. I will try to have 2 events per month leading up to the Summer. Also, I'm thinking of having a National Challenge here in ALSCCA. I would need to speak with Charles & National office. I will be seeing Pego Mack (Rally Manager) @ Nationals this month so I'm sure I'll mention it to here.....

Ok well everyone things its cool I'm all for a night event. The glow stick idea sounds great! We can do a smaller course that is on the conservative side just to be extra care full and then have sweep cars instead or workers on course.

We talked last event about doing a car costume contest with the person having the most left on their car at the end of the event getting extra points, but if its in the dark that might not be as fun. Maybe a lighting up your car contest. See how creative you can get with glow sticks, christmas lights and such. It will look like UFOs roaming around the fields! lol

It was ,until we lost the use of the BRC on Saturday's for autocross .Then the dates changed. On the 28th we rallycross and on the 29th there is the autocross at BRC.
BUT why don't we do the evening/night rallycross this month on the 28th while it is still so hot?

And if we did that we could also attend the open track day at TGPR in the morning.

oh okay, so it is on a Saturday. Important info to know in regards to taking off work...

any way we can get a new schedule printed up or should we just assume that every date is actually the day before?

I was just wondering if we could do the August 28th event in the evening.
Yeah we have missed the last couple events, business is good and the plant is working 2 production Saturday's per month. It has just worked out that these were the same days as the Rallycross events. We were ready for the heat though,we installed a stripped down AC unit for our Pilot. It is really nice inside now plus there is an inline filter to filter out what little dust may get in the cabin. I have ran for 30 minutes on our track here at the plant in 100 degree heat and it is cool inside and the AC compressor has not exploded yet either. I am sure it cost a few HP but the trade off is worth it.
Our plan is to make the August event and the national next month.Edwin, are you going to the national in Manchester? Do you have to preregister and is it a 1 or 2 day event?
