Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

We should add this to make it more realistic.

How much do you have in it now, not counting multiples of consumables.

I don't want to add up what I've spent on it to get it to where it is now. Let's just say, it's coming together with help from a bunch of friends and I thank them all.

to start out it was $ 200 , but thats why i call it "rock soup" because it would be so much better if it just had !------- ( to be continued )

A somewhat dated story on it can be found here.

What do I have in it now? With repair parts and a couple of go-fast parts, probably $800.

                        Add On's/Repairs: currently around $300

(but it's still not running and we still have a lot or work to do on it probably another $200 or so)
(and we are being a bit excessive on some things - just for fun of it, and the coolness factor)

$80 bucks of the Add On/Repair money just went to having 4 tires removed from 4 rims we couldn't use, then 4 old tires taken off of 4 rims we could use, then the first 4 tires put on the second set of rims - ended up just giving away the first set of rims

                          lets try again.
                          1986 Ford LTD
                          purchased dead for $200

currently invested, including car, making it start, fixing the broken suspension, making it idle, making it restart while hot, not overheat so much, and an overpriced lifetime air filter because I plan on getting it dirty and having to clean it a LOT... $400

I'm hoping to get brakes, tires, diff, and exhaust put on reasonably soon for under $1000 total invested.

                            1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD
                            Price 150$

Well I am looking at spending a good bit of money on this car. It needs front and rear glass. It also needs a rear differential. I plan on selling the 7 Bolt that is currently in my GST once I have rebuilt the 6 Bolt engine that came with my talon and put into my eclipse and then getting another 6 bolt for another fresh rebuild.

Once I get the Talon ready I will probably have about 2,000 into it.

I guess in todays dollars that's around 20 grand. I don't even want to think how much this car has cost me over the last 22 years, but every penny has been worth it!
