  • The T&T!!!!

OK. I'm still wide awake and I would go back out there right now to do it all again. Amazing place to race. Thanks so much to Sean and the rest of his family for allowing us to come out and do what we love to do at their house. The hospitality was more than we could have ever asked for and I can't wait to get back out there.

Sean, thanks for letting me run the Celica around the second course! It took me about 3 laps to get the banked high speed corner down, but the first time I did I almost had to pull over because I couldn't see from the GIANT smile on my face. Vince, thanks for the lap or 4 in the RX-7. I think you have found that cars true place on the planet.

Just WOW. If you haven't tried rally cross you have to make it out on the 28th. It is simply amazing!

Vince let me drive the RX-7 around the quick track for a few laps. Evidently GEn2 RX-7's were built for Rally and Rally alone! That car is INSANELY good in the dirt! I'd still be there if I had our Mazda out.

Edwin, thanks for putting this beginning to an awesome rallycross season together! The site is amazing. It is so different from Steele. You get the impression of driving through several different fields of different elevations, all linked together. It's the Harpersville stop on the WRC!

I can only hope that the participation continues to grow. I've never seen so many drivers AND spectators at a rallycross, and the fact that it's so far off the beaten path just makes it that much more impressive! I saw nothing but smiles on all the drivers faces!

        Note to self.....bring more calculators!

I have a spreadsheet for doing this sort of stuff. I think I got the original from Shea's girl friend.

There is something to be said for Rally Crossing in a car with leather seats and navigation. It felt wrong yet oh so right all at the same time. Can't wait to do it again!
