Edwin, I'll be there and will be avail. between now and then, including the Sat. prep, to help anyway I can. Lets get some pics next time we go out there and post up, when did you say you're heading back out there again?

...and when Edwin said a Rally Xr's dream, what he meant to say was that the Barkin Shark Rally Park or whatever we decide to call it makes BRC look like a cute little autoX site.

This test n tune is our opportunity to get a lot of new blood into the club for several reasons so be sure to spread the word, even if people are just coming to hang out, tell them to bring a bag chair and lets at least expose RallyX to more people.
    1) We've got a national level site within the B'ham Metro area.
    2) The land is untouched and therefore very smooth so its not going to trash a nice car, dirty or muddy yes, but tear up past that, no. So bring your DD or autoX car and come on, no more excuses.
    3) The more people we have the more it will make sense to expand into other fields with additional features and/or courses.
    4) Edwin and Ron are super excited about the program and I expect some good things out of it this year.
5 I'm not into fishing, but he's got either 2 or 3 lakes on the property, I know one is stocked with big bass and another with catfish, so what he said above, bring a pole if you want to.

The head count, and more importantly, car count and tow vehicle count, is very important so we don't have any grass fires. So if you're coming, post up so we can let the property owner know how large of an area he needs to grade for parking.

Quick heads up on the property owner. Sean Andrews owns a very modded 05 STI, he's been to the Team O'Neal school, and he's been to some ALSCCA autoXs in years past. Its very cool that we're dealing with a guy that knows exactly what we'll be doing out there and he is very excited to have everyone coming down.

This whole situation just couldn't be better!

    Keep the commitments coming!

Stock isn't exactly accurate. Currently the Lady Thelma Dilemma has a K&N filter, upgraded ignition coil, and EGR disabled. I have a locking differential with disc brakes to go on, and a smog pump that will come off eventually. I'm not worried about what class I run, though. I just want to race!

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

Thank you Robert also for helping find a great site with national potential. Also BIG PROPS to Sean Andrews. He seems like a rally fanatic also. Im going to call Sean today & see if Sat would be good for me to come out with the 2002 & camera, take a few laps & lots of pictures to post to the forum. I'm helping with the AX T&T & attending the safety stewart classes this Sat. I was thinking of heading out to the ranch afterwards. Robert can you make it Sat out there? Let me know so we can meet out there....Again thanks Robert..

Yeah Eric, not a big deal. This event is to get everyone up to speed on RX & the way the events flow. 1st points event will be later on in March so that gives you time to sort out the LTD & class you want to run. For now its about having fun & getting some car control on the loose stuff....

Grass fires? I hope we don't have anything like that. Parking in the grass is more desirable than dirt if it rains though. My truck is a 7000#, 2WD, open diff hunk of steel that's just waiting to get stuck if it rains.

Sean called a little earlier and said he has been working on things today, will be doing more tomorrow and then I'm heading down to give him a hand on Sat. I really doubt there is so much to do that we need a lot of help, but if any of y'all want to get a preview and maybe offer suggestions on Sat. come on down. I plan on getting there about 10.

I'll be there in a PF Focus (unless I get skeered for my 5" ground clearance and beg for a co-drive).

                            Joseph B (the other Focus).

Thats cool, come out Joseph & lets see about the clearance. The terrain is nice & smooth, so you might not have a problem...
