  • Sniff, sniff - Smells like RALLYCROSS!

Wally or any other Montgomery-area members:

While scanning thru Google Maps to see if I could find any nude sunbathers caught by the satellite's camera, I came across the following location:

    +32° 47' 11.66", -86° 18' 11.74" (copy/paste into google maps)

It's just northeast of Montgomery, north of Titus, west of 231, about 4 miles due west of the community of SPEED, ALABAMA (yeah baby).

I dont' know what it is or what is/was going on there, but it looks very suspicious to me. Though maybe some of you local boys might want to ride out that way on your Sunday drives to check it out and report on your findings.

(Well, I guess it could be a motocross site - appears to be about the same size as Monster Mountain MX over in Tallassee)

Indeed, its one and only RallyX outing.

She's all asphalt now, no more RallyX days for it.
(in fact, it's the current reigning 2009 SEDiv Time Trials DSP Class Champion. Hoot!, Hoot!)

            - Actually that RallyX appearance was only due to the fact that we'd just drove up to Huntsville and purchased it the night before. No since wasting a RallyX day when we're so far from them.

Current (in works) RallyX vehicle is the '77 VW Rabbit that we also picked up from the Huntsville area. Hope to get it running in time for the Dixie Region event at the end of the month.

Better photo of the Merkur since avatar is small and fuzzy.
