  • 2010 Rallycross Accord

I was just talking with our boss about useing one of our Accords for rallycross. We have kicked the idea around before but today he said it sound like a pretty good idea to him.HUUUUUUUMMMMMMM,sounds like we may have another project coming soon. We currently have 2 Accords. 1 is the car we use to autocross and for track days so we have done a little to it and the other is still 100% stock. The stock car is silver and would be the one we would use.
Stock weight is around 3500lb and it has 271HP. It could be a pretty good car in stock or mod.2wd class. Or we could try to install a 3.7L motor and 4wd and go looking for STI's and EVO's. Just thinking out loud. What ya think, good idea or not?

Are you kidding? It's ALWAYS a good idea to turn you guys loose and see what you come up with. I'd love to see a 3.7 4wd accord!

I liked the direction our conversation moved that other night regarding the Accord . I know it's completely up in the air as to how the build might go, but you know what I think. Dirt and AWD were made for each other!

Dude. I'm starting to hate you guys. No chance you're hiring, is there?

I was kidding about the hate, but not about the hiring. Seriously, any openings?

Wow I killed the thread... Is this a project for after the other vehicles are completed, or a serious threat right now? I'm not sure the world is ready for it. Turbo van? Sure that's fun. SUV actually prepared for off-road? Odd, but polite. People might take you seriously with an Evo-chasing Accord.

Start taking the program seriously! They took "RESPECT THE VAN" to a whole new level. Why not go kill an Evo or two?

Na, you did not kill the thread at all. Thanks for the response. The idea is just as you said "after the others vehicles are completed". Just an idea, and at best 6 months to a year out.
When times are better and we get a budget back we will be able to do some good things. Until then we will build a few cars as good as we can for a pretty stock vehicle and just concentrate on developing the drivers. We are doing the TT school in April and look forward to that. Even if we had LOTS of money it would be no good if we did not have anyone besides Yoder that can drive good, well maybe good for Yoder but not the rest of us.

Stop it Paul. There is plenty of talent out there. I appreciate the humble approach, but you guys are already quick. Now we get to prove that in the DIRT!

I'll be in Atlanta tomorrow morning and should be coming back through Lincoln in the evening. I'd love to stop by if you will be there.

OK. We have moved over to working on the red Odyssey getting it ready for the TT but I would love for to see the blue car.
