As usual the event was very well run, not terribly well attended Im sure their financials will point out but at any rate...it was fantastic weather, great to see the ALSCCA gang out and although my weekend started out bumpy ...I kept wrenching on the car and had a great day today. The thing is absolutely a blast to drive now ....just blown away by the LS1 and was a major plus to drive it away with no sad stories about rods knocking or ring lands being blown....good weekend all around.

Agreed. This was my first time to run with them and it could not have been better. The folks I met stood in stark contrast with the Porsche/BMW owner stereotype. And who would've thought a Ferrari owner would let me take two autocross runs in his car. I was a little nervous about being the only Miata (read: cheapest & weakest car) but at registration two P-car guys came over to check out my car, of all things
Well run event by what seems to be a great bunch of folks. If opportunity presents itself I will definitely run with them again.
But I don't think the owner of a certain white M3 wants me to come back though. Given the number of laps he refused to point me by it must have been tough getting run down by a miata...twice

I agree. This was a fantastic weekend and an excellent track experience. The PBoC are a great club to run with (even if you aren't in a German car) and they run a safe, efficient event. My instructor was right on - knowledgeable and personable.
Kudos also to the drivers in the Novice/Intermediate group - we had cars ranging from Miata to M3 to Boss 302 to Ferrari 360 to Cayman R to 'Busa powered prototypes on track together with minimal friction and no drama that I saw.Last edited by ZX3Focus; 11-19-2012, 08:53 AM.Joseph B.CS 82Ford fan that now has a garage full of red Mazdas.

I had a lot of trouble during the Super Solo and Instructor groups deciding if folks were being held up or if they just wanted to lead/follow. I even resorted to yelling at one driver, "Point!" to get them to let somebody by.
After a day and a half of blue-flagging the same cars repeatedly, I just gave up, deciding that if the following car wanted clear track, they could just go through pit lane without needing my help.
Otherwise, I had a blast watching everybody play.Chuck Schultz

I may have made it sound worse than it was. There were just a couple drivers who weren't paying quite enough attention to their mirrors and/or not willing to admit that they weren't "winning." ;^)Chuck Schultz

I only really had trouble with one guy. He was driving a GT3 cup (poorly) and I came within frogs hair of hitting him on entry of the museum turn in the first instructor session on Saturday. Still dont know how I kept from spinning the car . He almost parked the car going into the braking zone. Took him 2 laps to finally let me by. I did notice he had lexan side glass in . I never actually saw him point but he never came back on the line and didnt accelerate so I took it coming out the hairpin (Chucks station).
I guess all the workers were calling me smokey the bear and honkey by the end of the weekend LMAO..between the power steering fluid overheating and destroying hte power steering pump and the horn mysteriously sticking on untill I pitted and disconnected it ...it was an entertaining 2 daysRicky R

One other observation - it's possible that some folks who deserved points didn't get them because they were being too polite, and following two seconds or more behind, as we're supposed to on the highway. That also made it hard for me to decide whether folks were playing together or waiting for a (blue flag to get them a) point.
Remember - if you're being held up more than a couple laps, take a pass through the pits for open track or maybe more-accommodating traffic.Chuck Schultz
