Does anyone know the requirement for convertibles (Miata) to run at TGPR? I've got a roll bar I can put on, but no hardtop at the moment. -

It is rare to see an old school car like the red 442, (or is it just a Cutlass?) out on the track. The Firestone Firehawks didn't help him any as the sidewalls of that tire are like Jello. Chuck, i see alot of the drivers without helmets. It reminds me of the time i gave a ride at one of this years ax's at Verizon. The guy jumped out to get a loaner, jumped back in, and we took off. I looked at him halfway through the run and noticed that he was missing something. Thanks to someone taking pictures it was documented. Prolly will never hear the last of that one.

That was just a cutlass, and he only last about 3 laps before he had to call it a day cause he boiled out all his brake fluid. The ones with out the helmets you see was the parade lap at the beginning, all of them after that should have had helmets on. The cutlass even on the parade lap was struggling to make it around the corners at moderate speeds.Comment
