Are the times posted anywhere? Not pushing but at the barber ax they were posted on some weird site I have never seen before. Just interested to see how everyone did. Thanx.

Tony and I set our best times in the second TTA session. In the first session we were held up by a Spec Miata driver that kept getting lost before the museum turn...Delanie Calhoun

I would certainly like to hear your opinions on that. ALso consider another option - Open passing without a point-by in designated passing zones on the straights.Originally posted by rodhx View PostI haven't gotten to speak to anyone about the new passing rules and would be interested in hearing from the TT guys...what did you think about the point-by open passing? Any problems?Craig Farr

Craig...I've got a somewhat off topic question. Are all Formula drivers required to run arm restraints? I ask because I saw the driver of one of the fastest cars there this weekend be able to fully raise his arm over his head to express "displeasure" at a slower vehicle.Rod H

All formula drivers TT or RR are required to have arm restraints, some degree of adjustment on arm length happens and that may make a situation where the number one signal becomes more apparent. While it isn't a fun thing if they roll over but they might be nicknamed stumpy if they don't tighten them up.Mark Rothermel

That's what I thought. This guy either didn't have them on or they were so loose as to be useless. He had his full arm extended over his head waving.Originally posted by FVee90 View PostAll formula drivers TT or RR are required to have arm restraints, some degree of adjustment on arm length happens and that may make a situation where the number one signal becomes more apparent. Yes, all Formula cars or any car that cannot use a window net has to have arm restraints. All TT cars have to have arm restraints if they are not using a window net but they can use arm restraints in lieu of a window net.
One of the Grid checks is to see that everyone has his arm restraints on. We have to raise our arms and show that we have them on. How tight they are is personal preference and there is no standard for that.
Arm restraints in a formula car are one reason that a point-by does not work too well. If the restraints are properly positioned, you cannot get your arm or even fingers up in the air where a trailing driver can even see them. You almost have to be alongside (rear quarter) the car to see it.Craig Farr
