Scca bracket endurance racing at the big Talladega there's so mush asphalt around there now
Maybe there could be something worked out. I believe I would rather go there than barber for the endurance racers.

Several items to consider - ALSCCA ran races at the big Dega (early nineties?). However I do not believe the road course portion is in good shape so if nothing else the site would need SCCA inspection to be viable to race. If the big track is run then does the RR Hoosier tire good for banked racing? (I have heard not but not 100% sure) or is there another compound?
Someone would need to get a $$ quote on rental. I have been in several Bracket racing meetings and it is a interesting concept but there is a Timing and Scoring nightmare that would need to be handled (there is one guy who knows the system that I know of). Endurance racing in general has not had a big response in past races at Nashville SS but there is a good following at Road Atlanta - there is some talk of Atlanta Motor Speedway getting back on the SEDIV SCCA schedule but nothing solid yet.
What was the car attendance for Lemons and/or Chump at Barber early this year?
This area is having a slight growth in the worker base which is needed if more RR type events ever get on the schedule in this area. We rely a lot on Atlanta Region for stewards and such that conduct regional road races.

The new SCCA Bracket Enduro format is being considered for a future event at Barber. I'm with Mark in that I have no idea how suitable Talladega would be for such an event, but it's something to think about.

The LeChump race at Barber has been a success both years I believe, and I know from personal contact that there is interest in having a Bracket Enduro at Barber. Once we get past this weekend's club race I will start pursuing it.

The infeild course at Talladega was used by Harley Davidson for many years for testing and they added several speed humps/bumps for suspension testing and durability. Not sure if they are still in place, I imagine they are.

The road course at Talladega is no longer usable.

            Talladega

May be the original road course is not ready I am thinking of the newly paved surfaces mostly flat could be set up as an extended road racing surface and use less of the High Banks. and could accommodate more cars.

As a quick thought, you would need 70-75 cars entered at $850 each to break even at Barber. The other issue is that Barber has all of its 2016 weekends already booked.

So 60 cars would be ~$1000 (or $250/driver) or 50 cars at about $1200 ($300/driver). Both are still bargains for a Barber weekend on a per driver basis.

Wow..nothing we could do about that booked part though.
