  • Log book and annual question

What is the best way to get a log book and an annual for a couple cars ?
Anything local to B'ham ? A shop maybe that I can take the cars to .

TT or Club racing? Either way the answer is the same, you'll have to go to ATL or Huntsville. There are no places around Birmingham to get one as we don't have anyone that is a scrutineer or tech inspector for TT or club racing.

Let me add though that the tech inspectors and scrutineers will be in Birmingham at Barber for the Labor Day race and you could likely get it done there.

Paul, we usually hold an annual inspection party at the beginning of the season in Birmingham. Rich Crowell is the closest national scrutineer and he is in the Huntsville area. Of course annuals are available on race weekends, the next being Barber Labor Day weekend or TGPR in the fall. If you have an urgent need contact Rich on the TVR message boards and see what he says.

        Race.
One car has an SCCA log book ( Accrod) the other ( Civic ) does not. Both have current NASA log books. Funny thing is it raced World Challenge for two years. They apparently do not use log books just like IMSA .
Anyone have a name of a shop in the Atlanta area or Riche's contact ( phone ) number?

May do the 13hr of VIR or some other SCCA stuff so we need a current SCCA inspection.

Thanks for the quick responses by the way.

Paul, if you want to do VIR, contact the chief of tech (in the supps) and let him/her know you will need an annual. Then make damn sure the thing will pass before you drive 10 hours.

We will be at Barber for the 45th FF Festival on Aug 9-10.

Bring the cars there. Rich can issue a new logbook. Mark and I can do the Annual on the other car.

That is probably your best bet

                Log Book and Annual Tech

Paul, my name is Richard Crowell and I will be the tech chief at Barber for the FF 45 race on Aug 9-10. I suggest you bring your cars out to that event so we can issue log book and do annuals on your cars. Be sure to coordinate with Janet Farwell at SCCA so that you will be placed on the "entry list" which will allow you entrance to the track.

Go on Motorsportsreg.com and enter as a Tech Worker.

Registration will be done at the building just outside the gate.
