        Looking at the full announcement ( http://www.scca.com/events/news.cfm?eid=7113&cid=51776 ,) it appears that this will be a formula car/SRF exclusive event.

        This shouldn't hurt our numbers much, at all, because these cars have been only a small portion of the total entries. Most who do come to this event would not have come to our race, anyway.

        The publicity might help our event, bringing renewed attention to the track for Club Racers and traveling workers. It might have been nice if it had been scheduled a bit more than 3 weeks from our weekend, but the schedule's pretty full this year at BMP.

          TVR and AL are partnering with SCCA to put on the 45th FF at Barber. Certainly timing could be better but Barber is pretty well booked. We have worked out a deal with SCCA that should compensate for any impact to our Barber Race. Getting more National racers to Barber is certainly a plus for our events in the future. Overall, this is a win/win

          The F600 Championship Series that ran at Barber last year has another event scheduled for Labor Day and would not have been at our race anyway. We may lose some SRF entries as well.

          You guys that frequent Racer.net - how about publicizing our Barber Event there?

          We can use TVR and AL workers at the 45th FF.

            Yeah, I really enjoyed working a corner at the Labor Day race last year. Now I can work at this event and drive in our event.

            I mostly posted this because I hadn't heard anything about it.
