  • PBOC Race/DE at Barber, November 16-17

For any racers looking for another chance to race at Barber this year, please consider the PBOC event in mid-november. Saturday there will be a 30 min practice, 30 min qualifying, and 60 min enduro. Sunday is qualifying and two 30 minute sprints. If you have not raced with PBOC before, they are a great group with a wide variety of cars. No matter what you drive, they will find a class for it. More information can be found at PBOCflorida.com

The is a concurrent DE, so if you don't want to race, come out and drive or instruct.

I'm also pretty sure we will be doing our annual partnered autocross in a select tier of the paddock, as in years previous. This is always a fun weekend, and PBOC is a great group.

Race, DE, or Autocross, you will certainly find a way to enjoy yourself in an automobile.

PBOC could use a few more instructors for the event. A few more racers would be great, need some competition

Well, hope all had fun there. We were there but not sure if I had the flu or just a weekend
virus but felt like crap! Maiden voyage was full of little quirks and suprises but I was able
to get in one decent session on Saturday and a pretty good one on Sunday.
My student got black flagged the first session out on Saturday, got to the guy on pit lane
and he said there were reports of us passing in turns and with no point by. I told him I
must have passed out for a few laps then cause as far as I knew we hadn't passed anyone
at all. So of course had to go up to the third floor and talk to GRUMPY! and of course he
was a little grumpy at first but then when they pulled the video footage and found that it
was another car not ours he was a little nicer. Not sure what happen on that I guess the
sun was in some of the corner workers eyes and they had a hard time seeing the correct
numbers on the cars or something??
All in all it was a good weekend, I got to run around in the new car a little and was able
to put it on the trailer at the end in one piece!
And as always a big shout out to all that made the weekend happen. That goes for you too
Chuck! I waived at you after the end of every session I was out there but you never waived
back? Was the sun in your eyes too? Or did I not buy enough photos from you last time
                  out? LOL!

                  Cheers guys,
                  We'll see ya next time!

PBOC Florida put on a great event. On Saturday I was able to shave a couple more seconds off my best time and Sunday I got to pass a lot of cars in the wet because Miata.

Were you in an orange Mustang? I called in the _dark_ orange Mustang, and the light orange car got caught in the net. The same car screwed up later, and got caught that time. The small, three-digit numbers aren't easy to see when incidents happen, and most of the cars in the group have similar numbers, which are easily transposed. At least they were on the sides of the cars, this time.

The racers all got waves, because they're fun and challenging sessions to work, and I may not see them, again. I try to remember to wave for the last session for each DE group, but by then a lot of folks have gone home or been signed off for solo.

Uhm not a big deal guy, just ribbing you a little. We appreciate you guys out there and
I always wave at every corner at the end of every session.
And yes it was a Yellow Mustang Boss. Quite quick after he'd had a little time out as well.
We let him solo Sunday and he seemed to be just fine.

Ya'll be good and have a Great Thanksgiving!!!! EVERYONE!!!!!!!
