Challenge accepted!! See if we can't make that happen at Barber, Mark.
I'll throw a BMW into this party.

In 2012 we introduced the concept of a "Double" into the TT Championship series for the first time. It was at AMP, where each day was a different event with places and points calculated for each day.

In 2013, the late September TGPR TT will be a Double event with places and points calculated for each day.

At one point, we discussed making Barber a double TT event and then decided not to do it.

Calling a TT event a "Double" because it is done over 2 days is not accurate and has no basis in our lexicon.

Putting a special "BMW Shootout" into the TT is not a problem. You BimmerHeads can earn the bragging rights.

BMW time against BMW time, period. No PAX for different classes. Mano e Mano

          Lets get 'er on!

All this is exciting talk, just like the old CSP days. Makes me want some bavarian nuts and bolts.

Hey Wally...I'll be a rookie bimmer driver this year. I may need a "technical advisor/chief strategist/team principle" for the bimmer challenge

After David Carroll graceously allowed me to drive his CSP Miata in the TGPR worker laps and came along for the driving lesson, I learned that I had forgotten how much fun driving a Miata on track can be. No, it was not as fast as my DSR but almost as much fun.

Maybe it is time to get the rollbar, seat and steering wheel off the shelf znd put them in the 99 Miata. Put a track suspension on it and some harnesses. Hmmm, I have 2 sets of 13" rims and 2 sets of BBS 14" rims. A lightweight flywheel and header would be nice. Go kick some CSP butt?

Craig...Some people (read: me) are uncomfortable running sedans with the SRF contingent. Any to break those apart? Thanks

Split start is on the agenda if we get enough entries in the group to warrant it.

Those poor SRF drivers have to run with someone. They do not want to run with us Formula guys.
