I will attempt to be there, not 100% sure yet due to fluctuating work schedule.
Will be a TT car (actually a Solo 2 DSP car running TT).

This will be after the Gainesville Solo Trials (14-15 Feb), but I 'think' I'm not required a log book at that event.

THe Solo Trials is run at two levels. Level 2 if you are not using all the Level 3 safety gear and do not meet the Level 3 car requirements. I think a logbook for Level 2 is not required.

If you run Level 3 (for points), you have to pass the Level 3 Tech, have personel safety gear, etc. You would need a TT Logbook for running Level 3.

Be careful. These program names are confusing.

Solo Trials is not part of the SCCA Time Trials program. They are part of the Solo program. See Appendix D. of the Solo rulebook. I don't know why it came into existence, other than the idea that "we don't want to be under Club Racing." As far as I can tell, it essentially duplicates the intent of Club Trials, a Level 2 TT event. There was a Solo Trials program in the old Solo 2 rules, but it initially went away with the development of Club Trials. Then, at a later date, it came back.

I wonder if the Gainesville event is really a Solo Trials or a Club Trials event? If it is a Solo Trials, why does it count for TT points?

The Gainesville event is an interesting event. If you are running for SEDIV points then you wear all of the safety stuff (suit, socks, gloves, etc) and of course run in the TT Level 3 and 4 classes and you should have a logbook for the car. The fun part is that there are also FMod (no log book) cars that run for their own class trophy with drivers in long sleeve shirts/helmet running the same course (FM does not count point wise in TT Level 3 and 4).
Confusing? That would be like me saying "Don't ping my cheese with your bandwith".

I hope to make it and help Rich (my schedule that w/e is crazy)- I will be bringing Annual Tech Stickers for TT and taking care of a lot of those cars.

One thing to keep in mind - Help your region by getting a worker license. It is actually simple call the National office of SCCA and ask for a regional license in the many Road Racing worker specialities (F&C, Scutineer, Timing, etc) you will automatically get it added to your membership card. Then study the rules and work events. You can then upgrade to Divisional and hopefully make it to a National license in a few years (Cliff note version )

Update. In general, annuals are free, except if you need a log book. They are $10.00. That said, Richard drives about 2 hours each way to do this for us so I have chosen to give him $10.00 for his time and gas. If you wish to do that also, I think it would be a great gesture. I second that Chuck .I would think that 10 bucks per car regardless of whether its getting a new logbook or not would be the least we could all do .

Not sure if my previous post constituted an actual commitment or not - if not, then please consider this post as us "signing up" for the Annual Tech Inspection. Will need log book.

Those with new cars to be getting an annual. Please drill the inspection holes in the bars before this w/e. This is one thing that can save time - bring all of your driver goodies as well.
Looking forward to it but check here towards the end of the week to make sure all is good.

I was going to ask for clarification on the roll bar inspection hole, but decided to look it up myself in the TT Rules:

An inspection hole of at least 3/16 inch diameter must be drilled in a non-critical area of a roll bar member to facilitate verification of wall thickness. This should be at least three inches from any weld or bend.
