    We are still in need of F&C volunteers. Come out and join us, tell you friends!


    The Schedule for the event can be found using the link in the Atlanta Region SCCA web site.
    Please note the following:
    Friday, 9/2 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Registration
    Saturday, 9/3 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM Registration
    Saturday, 9/3 7:15 AM Corner Marshal meeting at the Control building.
    Sunday, 9/4 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM Registration
    Sunday, 9/4 7:30 AM Corner Marshal meeting at the Control Building

    Lunches will be provided both days and there is a social for all 30 minutes after shut down on Saturday.





    BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK DOUBLE SAARC AND PRO-IT.

    LABOR DAY WEEKEND, SEPTEMBER 3rd AND 4th

    (NOTE: FRIDAY SEPT. 2ND TEST DAY IS NOT AN SCCA F&C DAY)

    F&C volunteers are needed for the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend at the Barber Motor Sports Park, Birmingham AL. Still gives you the Monday Holiday to enjoy the family fun. This event is held jointly by the Atlanta Region and Alabama Region. If you haven't been to Barber MSP before, take advantage of this event, the track is beautiful. Take a look for yourself at www.barbermotorsports.com view the interactive map of the track and while you are there take a look at the museum. This is a must see track if you have never been there; a fun track for both drivers and volunteers. Sign up on www.MotorsportReg.com.

    Don Drennon will be Flag Chief at the event again this year. Please refer questions to me as I will be collecting the questions and working with Don to staff the event.

    HOTEL DISCOUNT This is only good if booked by August 22nd

    We have arranged to hold a block of 25 rooms (all double occupancy) for the reduced price of $89.00 a night plus taxes ...if you are an SCCA member~



    The rooms have 2 beds each....so anyone willing to share the cost...can save even more $.



    The hotel is the new Hampton Inn at 310 Rex Lake Rd/ B'hm/ Leeds, AL on the same side street as Barber Motorsports Park Entrance...off I-20 West.

    These rooms will be available to our members between 7/30--8/22/11. When you register with them be sure to request the discount for members of SCCA!





    The double worker reimbursement incentive will be provided to volunteers for this event.
    Regional and Divisional License holders- $40.00 per day;
    National License holders - $60.00 per day.

      I really wanted to help out, and had planned to ... but I'll be out of town and over in GA for the weekend. I'll have to pick it up next time.

      So John, I'll have to withdraw my offer for a pace car as well. Sorry.

        Well that's unfortunate dude! Was looking forward to seeing you there.

        Not to twist the knife or anything, but there are only 5 people registered from our own region for F&C. I believe that this is a record low for us, and in my opinion it's sad.

        People this is our ONLY race of the year! This is our one big "hoora" where we can showcase our club and our home track, right here in our own back yard! If you have never worked a club race weekend, I promise that you won't be dissappointed!

        Come out and meet your fellow members and the people who make all of this possible. If you work you get paid for your time so you really have no excuse for not being there.

        See you at the track!
