  • The ARRC

Thanks to all the ALSCCA workers who made the ARRC possible...Ricky and Chuck were the only two I saw working...many thanks to them for making the trip and enduring the fickle weather. Oh, yea...ask Ricky about his front fascia

Race report..Well, Steve is now officially 3 for 3 at the ARRC. Last year and this year he has a total of three laps as he got taken out in turn 3 at the start this year. Then Sunday in the enduro, he blew a motor (mine!!!)...at least he got to run 25 laps before the problem so that makes 28 laps for him in two years.

At least I was able to finish 4th out of 21 cars in ITA after fighting an intermittent miss that cost me 5 places. Re passing all those cars took until lap 19 of 20.

Road Atlanta actually had two banquets, one Friday night, and one Saturday night. Both were hugely attended with good food and great adult beverages. All in all, another great ARRC. Congratulations to all the champions. Chuck

Good job Chuck, I watched the video of the T-3 incident and still didn't see how you missed the "big one." Have you found the cause of the "miss."

Too bad Steve. Maybe we can have an "Alabama Bunch" paddock next year and add a couple more IT cars to the mix. It was good to finally meet you at TGPR.

I enjoy working the ARRC.Ive worked the last 3.Its always a good time .I did have a little incident driving to the track envolving a sleepy truck driver (I assume).Story short I now have a couple less items on the front of my car and things arent so lined up anymore .Running it back through my mind only amazes me as to how lucky I was that it didnt turnout worse.

Sorry to hear about your motor Chuck.I left RA about 1PM Sunday headed for Bham. so I didnt know how it turned out untill last night when I spoke to Steve at the elections meeting.

BTW...I still have someones big hammer in my car .I came around to the spot where you and Steve were in the paddock and Steves RV was gone and I didnt see either one of you there .Is that yours or Steve's?

RR's a hammer mechanic. Who knew?

Your incident underscores what I've been saying for a few years, now - it's safer on the track than it is on the highway. Watch out for the other guy!

That hammer is probably mine. I bring a BIG hammer to all road races. You never know. Paul, do the ARRC next year. We will save a place for you.

Chuck probably has to find the valve before he can start looking for the miss

Sorry Steve, I'll quit messing with you.

I think he found it. It was just missing a little.

                        Ooouuuch!

If your valve is missing, I think it went through that hole.

George, you represented TVR quite nicely at our Barber race expecially since it was your first time in a wrong wheel drive. I think Chuck is going to let me do a couple of test days before races so that I can help him out with setup and such. Let's see, 1st Me, 2nd GB, DNF CB.

So you're saying in order to beat CB you have to sabotage his car?
