Our Club Race at Barber for 2010

Not much has been said, yet, about this weekend's festivities at the Park.

That's because those of us who've been there, already, are probably tired, but it's a good tired. We've finished a good test day and a day of fun racing that kept us wide awake all day. You would not be making a mistake to make your way over and root for our friends and neighbors as they compete for more bragging rights and memories.

Almost 200 cars and drivers, with 8 races remaining, running as hard as they can at one of the most beautifully-maintained tracks in the country - that's my kind of entertainment.

I want to thank every single person who came out this weekend. Whether you raced ,volunteered ,or spectated....just know that you are appreciated for it .

Weather was fantastic beginning to end .The racing was exciting and sportsmanlike . I was glad I could be there to help make it happen

The last race clinched the weekend - 15 laps, 2 leaders, each led 7 laps (back and forth,) and then the last lap decided it.

What a great way to spend a weekend!!! The weather just could not have been better, it really made working the event wonderful. C and I had a great time working the race, we especially loved the Miata races!!! Man talk about action, just listening to all the calls around the track and watching the battle for position as they went down the cork screw 2 or even 3 wide was great. All I have to say about Sundays race is “In-pound All”! LOL And yes we were cheering the whole last race for the Vet the whole time. I know you guys here this all the time but seriously if you have not tried working a corner you really should. It is a great way to see racing up close and personal plus the clubs take very good care of you too.

Our Club Race at Barbers

It has been quite a while since I ran with the SCCA and just wanted to
give a BIG THUMBS UP !!! to all those who were putting on the event. I can't
ever remember getting thru registration, tech any faster and more effeciently.
I am really impressed. Also the whole weekend was nice and everyone I came
into contact with ( NOT ON TRACK ) was extremly nice and helpful. I really had
a great time and want to let everyone know how greatful I am for being able
to be a part. And to all the folks working the corners I tried to make it as
ammusing as possible. Thanks again to all and can't wait to see you all again
