Everybody's pushin' the ARRC, when the SIC hasn't even happened, yet, this weekend, at Roebling Road Raceway. ;^)
I'm not doing the SARRC Invitational Challenge, but Sue's heading down to do F&C. We'll both be in Atlanta for the American Road Race of Champions, November 6-8th, 2009, though.

On behalf of Atlanta Region SCCA, I’d like to thank you for participating in the 2009 ARRC by GRM. Quite simply, it was fantastic weekend!
Besides the great weather, one of the biggest changes this year was using both paddocks. Granted it caused severe anxiety attacks for Fletcher when he had to say, “No, no, spread out and take all the room you want!” <g>, but using both paddocks was universally well-received. I’m not sure if the extra space had the drivers more relaxed, but there were NO FCYs or BFAs at all on Saturday. Unheard of considering the 55 Miatas in Group 1 – maybe they weren’t awake yet? Plus, we were done earlier than anticipated all three days.
Not only was the racing some of the best I’ve every seen, but multiple comments were received about the value added by Greg & Scott’s running commentary. Many folks that were not there listened to the broadcast live on www.RaceFanRadio.com and are making plans to attend in the future. Replays should be up on that website this week. GoRacingTV.com covered the ARCC races flag-to-flag and plan to start their video webcast with the first two races later this week. Visit www.GoRacingTV.com to view the video and along with the replay of the audio on RaceFanRadio you'll be able to share stories of how your weekend unfolded.
Unofficial results were uploaded to www.MyLaps.com each day and official results are now posted at www.ARRC-Online.com (you can also get to it from www.AtlantaSCCA.org) along with links to some of the images captured over the weekend. And please remember to support the sponsors that are linked from the ARRC website. Their support made the weekend possible – our special thanks to Grassroots Motorsports, Cool Shirt, Hoosier, Mazda, Victory Lane and Wheels America.
As many of you know, we’re already thinking about how to make the event even better in 2010. If you have any ideas that you think we should consider, send them to me and I’ll add them to the list for future discussion. We’re always open to input and hopefully by now you know, “but we’ve never done it that way before” is NOT part of our make-up. If you think your idea will make it a better event, let’s talk about it.
I hope you had a great time and will return along with all your fellow racers next November.
See y’all at the track…
