A good friend had his Miata shortened in a wierd highway accident and is looking to find a new home for it:
Yesterday , while in stop-and-go traffic on the interstate, the truck in front of him rolled backwards into him and pushed him into the truck behind him. The offending truck left without stopping and the truck to the rear had paint scrapes but no damage. After getting a police report he drove the car home. It runs/drives like nothing happened. Radiator's fine.
It's a '90 model A-package with a newer long-nosed crank engine (92 or 93 1.6L). Body has ~207k miles and engine has considerably less (80-130k, he's not sure). I've driven the car several times over the years he's had it and it's a strong engine and drives good and has working A/C. We put a new top on it this past summer and Tokico GR-2's a year or two ago.
Might be worth repairing or good for parts or race project. Email/pm me and I'll put you in touch with him for offers or to look at it.
