Do Solo class cars have to keep a fire extinguisher on board for TT?

I believe so. And you'll need full driver fire gear as well.

      10.19. FIRE SYSTEM
All cars shall meet one of the following minimum requirements:
      1. Halon 1301 or 1211, two (2) pound minimum capacity by weight.
      2. Dry chemical, two (2) pound minimum with a positive indicator showing charge. Chemical: 10 BC Underwriters
Laboratory rating, potassium bicarbonate (Purple K) recommended, 1A10BC Underwriters Laboratory rating
multipurpose, ammonium phosphate and barium sulfate or Monnex.
The fire extinguisher shall be securely mounted in the cockpit. All mounting brackets shall be metal and of the quick-release
      type.

Yeah, I was thinking the "all" in this covered it.

My fire suit is still good for a few years. Thanks, Rod.

Next question: Any suggestions on where to get an extinguisher with brackets before Thursday?

I got mine here . Nice folks and I got it the next day . Cost around $100. The brackets are the hardest thing to find locally . You can get fire extinguishers all over the place but the bracket has to be metal .

pretty sure that is the one I got in my car. I think they give an SCCA discount so be sure and call and mention you are a member and also tell them whether you will be mounting it to the roll bar or not.

There's a fire suppression store over on 280 and 119. I can't recall the name, it's a pun. But they would definitely have metal brackets in all shapes and sizes for all types of canisters.

I bought mine at Brendles in Montgomery, and believe it was like 30 bucks with the metal hanger.

Where is that ...I work in that area and didnt know it existed . I was in Caseys predicament and needed it ASAP so I went with the only one I could find at the time that was definitely SCCA approved . Post up if you find one locally for future reference .

Cool. I needed some brake pads so I went with Discovery Parts anyway. They've always been great. Hopefully everything will show up tomorrow!
