Alright who is going to run Nashville? I am planning to go run and hope I don't bust the car since I am driving it there.

haven't gotten into yet, but the few things we did at the track to look at it leads us to believe its seized up.

I think it was oil starved. I've been talking it over with C (worked grid with Sara, and helped me get the motor going in the first place) and we both feel kinda stupid. The car was burning oil so badly on Saturday, as I know everyone saw. We worked on the car Saturday night and got it running really well. We were so focused on the AFR's and Fuel Map of the car, I never checked the oil level. We can't be sure, but I think the car burnt up the oil and then in Turn 1 the remaining oil slid up the block (as is typical for BMW motors from the mid 80's and early 90's) and starved the engine. Obviously this is just assumption at this point, but I will know for sure soon.

That really sucks man...and like you said, it was JUST starting to run really well too. Hopefully you can get it all straightened out quickly and painlessly. That's a fun car to see run

John - Hate to hear that, mine wasn't burning oil, but still ended up spinning a bearing there, remember talking to you about it. Hope you're able to make it, or at least talk someone else into coming up

And PLEASE respond in the affirmative...WERE LOOKING ON HAVING TO GIVE UP THIS EVENT for lack of workers. I understand their is great door prizes available plus our other perks... food and beverages, etc.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that this weekend’s Time Trial and PDX at Nashville Superspeedway has been cancelled. The simple reason is that the entries as of today are so low that Chattanooga Region cannot absorb the financial loss. Maybe this is the fault of the state of our economy. I sincerely hope that this trend in the Time Trial entries does not continue throughout the year.
