Correction, The year end banquet will be held in December rather than January and will be held at the Harley Davidson Conference Center on HWy 119 in Pelham. I need to find out the official date but there will be postcards mailed to let everyone know about it as well as posts here on the forum.

We have an awards banquet in January where the trophies are given out, etc.

So this being the first time I've competed the whole year through what exactly happens at the end of the year and do we go any where specific or what?

That rule was leftover from the previous administration. I included it because it seemed like a good idea. On a side note I felt so proud that someone remembered we had supplemental rules and remembered how to find them and use them. Thanks Rod, you made me proud.

I think the intent of the rule was to encourage people of single car classes to move up and combine classes to have some competition. Some regions will bump you automatically if you are a single car class. We left it as an option.

Just for my clarification, we will award a trophy to any class Champion regardless of the number of competitors as long as they meet the 50% +1 event criteria?

STS & STR qualify also, not sure if there are more.

With our turnouts for the last couple of years, I can't say I agree with that rule either. We'd basically end up with trophies for N, ST, SM, BSP and CSP and nothing else. Sounds like a boring awards ceremony and some drivers feeling unrecognized ...

here it is... in section 15 of the 2010 solo season supps:

c) In order for a class to have a champion there must be a minimum of 2 drivers completing the minimum number of events to be eligible for a championship in that class.

I guess I didnt know about that supp but I guess if it is in print that is the way it is . I cant say I agree.

If it were an undividual event...I could see the context and justify it but a guy that runs his class all year and does the 50+1 minimum or more then I see no reason to penalize him or her by denying them a year end championship based on lack of class participation.

I am not protesting the supps . I am saying this particular requirement needs some extra consideration for next year .

Ive never seen that rule for year end . Not your fault if no one else ran your class all year .

Don't you also need at least one competitor in a class to run 50%+1 events for that class to qualify for a trophy?
